Welcome To

Indivisible North Boulder

History

Indivisible North Boulder was formed in the aftermath of the 2016 election of Donald Trump. We were inspired by national publication of “Indivisible: A Practical Guide For Resisting the Trump Agenda.” Like other resistance groups, our purpose was to oppose the Trump reactionary agenda. Since Trump’s defeat in 2020, our group has continued its advocacy and our activism has focused on a number of issues. Some of those are (1) The climate crisis and other environmental challenges;  (2) The need to fix democracy; and, (3) The need to to address institutional racism and economic inequality.

Meetings

North Boulder holds informal coffee discussions and planning sessions every Wednesday from 8:30 a.m to 9:30 a.m.  Meetings are currently being held online. We also hold monthly Saturday afternoon meetings where we have guest speakers, including candidates for office, elected officials and other subject matter experts. We also use those monthly meetings to explore specific topics of interest.

Our Commitment to Democracy

The near-coup by Trump and his allies following the November, 2021 election, and events continuing up to and after the insurrection of Jan. 6, 2022, have shown us that forces attempting to undermine democracy are operating at full throttle.

Decisions by right wing activists on the Supreme Court have endangered reproductive freedom and, potentially, same sex marriage, the separation of church and state and a host of other important privacy interests. The veneration of firearms over the preservation of human life is a clear and present danger to all of us – and to our democracy.

Indivisible North Boulder will be working to reinforce democratic institutions, values, candidates and policies until this threat is ended.
